many children want to ride their bikes to school, but parents often choose to drop them off by car instead. In addition to the exercise it provides, research shows that academic results and general well-being increase in those children who bike to school.
Let the children steer! (Låt barnen styra!)in an invitation and shout-out initiated by the association Svenska Cykelstäder (Swedish Cycling Cities), which includes some of Sweden's most ambitious municipalities and regions and focuses on getting more people to start cycling. Together, we want to raise the status of cycling and inspire people to use their bikes more often in their daily lives. In the film, we follow a bunch of kids who ride to school.
